So for those who are wondering, it is possible with some games with a little hardware and the wrg dumper homebrew.

Hopefully without causing any trouble by asking this, i was curious what the legalities of downloading or dumping games are that you Physically Own? Isnt like backing up music>

Laws vary from country to country.

In the United States, thanks to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act, you are not authorized to make "legal backups" when it involves circumventing copy protection.

Downloading a file would still infringe on that.  Our rights are dwindling as we speak.

Yeah Ive found a way you can sorta do this, its just not so well known. But it seems like as long as you own the thing, you should be able to back it up for personal use only. Nothing else. The last thing anybody would want to do is get in trouble with the law.

As long as you dump it YOURSELF and do not

1. Download the rom through the internet
2. Upload the rom to the internet or send it to someone through the internet
3. Mail the dumped rom

Their is NO way that you can get in trouble with the law, as they cannot find out.
