I'm sure someone has had a Palmpilot and played this great game.  How hard would it be to port it and would it not be perfectly made for the NDS?

DeVS

Schhim welcome to the site. were glad to have you. Netwalk would be easy to port if it's source code was open to the public. If the company who made the game did not make it open source then it cant be ported.

I looked at the website, and it seems like this would be really difficult to clone. There's no demo version available so I can't really play around with it. It wouldn't be too hard to clone if I had the game, since it simple graphics and the programing around not to bad of math. If you could find like a pc demo or another clone of it I could try looking into porting it.

Sweet!  As if Google read my mind.  Someone made an open source clone of Netwalk!  Here's the link.  http://rooster.stanford.edu/~ben/netwalk/download.php

I would be eternally grateful if y'all can pull this off.  Good luck!

Alright, I'm starting work on NetWinDS, a NetWalk clone for WinDS. I'm working on it for the WinDS coding competition. I'm not sure of the rules of the competition yet, but if the rules allow me to, I'll post updates and beta builds of my NetWinDS on my website.

Awesome, I really appreciate this man.  I'll even start taking a collection for you for your troubles.  :D

The Competition goes until the end of the year and I'm not allowed to release files so I guess it'll be a good new years present

GPL did a port of SDL, dont see why it couldnt be done nearly directly from that windows source code.. any rate I look forward to your new years gift ;) (looks like a fun game, wont ruin it for myself by trying the windows version)

schhim

so... how are you doing on that port? :)
