Hey there,

I thought it would be nice to start a discussion on 2gb MicroSD cards. If you have one, please post the card name, where its made, cluster size of formatted card, speed test, and a few comments about your experience with the card. To do a speedtest, go to the supercard menu and select Other->AUTO Set SD Speed. This will show you the TRAN, TAAC, NSAC, and CARD SPEED. Please include all those in your report. This info will be extremely useful for people interested in getting 2 gigs for their DSOne. Because 2 gig cards dont perform as well as 1 gig cards, choosing the right one becomes even more important.

-card-
Kingston 2GB MicroSD (Japan)

-cluster size-
32kb

-speed test-
TRAN          : 2.5*10mBIT
TAAC          : 5.0*100us
NSAC          : 100*0 clock
CARD SPEED : 25

-comments-
I tested about 30 different games and everything works without problems. To make most everything work its best I set SD SPeed = 4X, and disabled patch mode. The opening animation of Castlevania Dawn Of Sorrow ran flawless. Castlevania POR runs perfect so far. AnimalCrossingWW ran with no problems. Saving in everything I tried, worked. With this card I would conclude that everything works great without problems. However, it is sometimes neccessary to experiement with settings and patch mode options to get certain games to work at their best. If you are willing to do a little more experimentation than usual, this card works as well as a good 1GB card!

If you have a 2GB card please post your review, or follow up to comments of an allready posted review.

Didn't we already start a thread like this?  :knuppel2:

Anyway . . .

============================

Standard 2GB Sandisk (Taiwan) sold at Verizon . . .

csd data 128bit:

TAAC:1.5*1ms
NSAC:100*0 clock
capacity :2032664576byte
               1938Mbyte

sd card speed may be set to'5'!
if the speed is less than 25, the
n some games will not work.(ex.A

I think you may be refering to this thread :

Fastest 2GB MicroSD

I found a few bits of useful info in there, but I felt it could be more informative.

That test is severely flawed as it sets the Ultra II to 5 and causes errors on many other devices.

I have an Sandisk 2GB MicroSD and runs every game on my R4 except for Castlevania POR but will this same card perform just as well on SCOne v2 as it does on R4?

If so, I will mostly buy SCOne too.

Other than some slowdown with a few games (like with R4) the 2GB Sandisk should work fine with SCSD1. I have both the 2GB Sandisk and a 2GB Kingston (Japan).
