So you have a512mb card and are going away for a month - what games/files do you put on it. Is one 64mb game (meteos) worthtwo 32mb games (fia & warioware).

I think my line up is something like.
Moonshell + some MP3's
Fifa
Adv Wars 32?
Tiger woods (cos i like sport)
one racing game prob Asphalt GT
pacnroll/picpax
meteos
lost in blu
warioware

chiching

I have them on my  512 CF:
Adv war 2
Metero
Adult Brain Training (0067)
Yoshi
Peach
g-aosj
Feel  the magic
Nintendog
Prince of Tennis (0048)
Polarium
Dictionary (Jap-Eng) (Idon't know Japanese btw)

Dudu.exe

nom my 128 CF ( =[ )

Casltlevania ( Almost 100% souls! )
Super Princess Peach

Koji

Have a 256MB SD card (getting a couple giggers for christmas ^_^)

Right now I only have:

Meteos
Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan
Phoenix Wright
NESDS with about 20 roms on it.

That leaves some 50 megs free on the card. For some reason Ouendan locks up constantly if my SD card is compeltely full (actually, most games lock up on occation if it's completely full, but Ouendan becomes completely unplayable)

I think this should get reported, Same here,  let's start a new thread on this matter

I have a feeling its due to the fact that flash memory access slows down considerably when it fills up. This is based on my experience using digital cameras. Thats why I think what you guys are experiencing is the same thing as the memory card speed issues that some of the lads are having.

I myself don't have that issue yet (touch wood) my 1Gb SD has only like 2-3Mb free space. Will report if it happens!
nimal Crossing :

there were random mentions of this happening with certain games and cards. it seems (like satanduck pointed out) that the more space used the slower the access. from the posts ive read i heard defragging the card can help and if you are running into problems with it still, formatting as well as defragging can help. add the troubled game only and see how it works... then if youre confident that it is functional continue to add more data until you crash... depending on the save method and how many files (in addition to how much data) you have on the card there are many opportunities for it to become fragmented. without looking through the source for reads and writes (but guessing) i can imagine the file searching and access is pretty basic to begin with, so the more data that the firmware/software has to pick through to get and read your file (especially if its broken up) the worse off you will be.

non-bargain hardware and some routine maintenance should solve many of these types of problems (from what i understand at least).
