Hi, as there isn't any PS2 forum i'll post here. I have a modded PS2 and i want to play a DVD i burned myself. The PS2 is connected using component cables, and my tv only supports Y-Pr-Pb. When I play games it works perfectly, but when i put a movie DVD it starts the movie player but the screen flickers and everything's pink. Changing the color mode to RGB in the PS2 settings does the same, so I suppose it's switching to RGB. Does anyone know how to change DVD video mode to Y-Pr-Pb? Thanks in advance.
PS: I have a slim PS2 model 77001 and a Matrix Infinity Modchip.

going to guess this is the macro anti video piracy protection kicking in to stop you recording DVDS to VIDEO TAPE try using a normal PS2 RF CABLE it should play back fine :)

have you tried using the dvd in another player?

also, check out SMS media player

Also make sure the dvd is for your region. Make sure its not a pal dvd is you live in the USA, and vice versa.

The DVD works perfectly in my other player, and PS2's player is giving me problems with every disc I try. My modchip has a Macrovision patch, so it's not that. I used SMS Player before, but i didn't know it played DVDs. As i said before, changing from Y-Pr-Pb from the PS2 options menu to RGB does the same effect, so I think that's what's happening.
