Finally got a chance to play a bit tonight with my new PC parts.  While I enjoy the chaos, the tactical side of me wants to play with a small number of players so there's more strategy.

The game is easier to play when there is less players. I'm pretty sure some smaller servers will appear after the retail game is released.

Yeah, hopefully some server files for the beta get released.  I absolutely hate company-run game servers.  One of the biggest appeals of PC gaming is setting up your own server that you have full control over.

They released the server files along with beta 2  and there are a few other servers up.  ;D

I'm shocked that it runs as well as it does on mine... This is at fairly high widescreen resolution and with everything on medium and a few things on high detail.  What're your system specs?

- athlon XP 3000+
- nvidia 7800 256 AGP
- 1GB mem

Devil_Spawn

would you say i have a chance w/

athlon xp 2500/2800 (2 pcs)
x1600 256/512
1.5gb rams

socket

Yeah, it might not be the prettiest... like mine... but it's still way fun.

Robotochan

I doubt there is any chance it'll run on my laptop. Resolution is too damn high!

Turion X2 1.6GHz
Radeon X1150
2GB DDR2

:(

Will have to get it for the 360, I loved the 1st one!

socket

It defaults to 800x600... I'm honestly impressed with the range of hardware it will run on...

Devil_Spawn

I mean the native resolution of my laptop screen and there is nothing below 1280x800 for the aspect ratio. Can't get it running anyway, getting an opengl error so trying to fix it now  :-\

socket

Oh oh, totally makes sense now.. :-|

Robotochan

Lol  ;D Anything below the native res looks a little funny. Doesn't matter anyway, my graphics chip doesn't support something  :'( Although I did get Battlefield 2 running last night at 17 FPS  ::)

The official demo is out.  Pretty sweet - seems to be more refined and a little faster.  Check it out!
