Hello, I've been reading the forums and I have a question since I cpuldn't find an answer.

Is it possible to listen *.mp3 music files on the Micro or even a GBASP with a Supercard?

Without converting them first... Could there be a *.gba program that decodes mp3's like moonshell only for GBA/GBASP/GBM? If not, is it possible to actually do it? I've read micro has only one ARM processor, thus the lack of GB/GBC compatibility, so, could it be harder to decode mp3?

Thanks in advance

Koji

Normal GBA's only have 1 ARM processor as well. The GBA and SP also had additional hardware, which included a z80 processor that was used in the original GB/C hardware.

The GB/C hardware and the GBA hardware were completely seperate. You couldn't access both of them at the same time so that isn't anything to worry about.

I do believe there is/was an mp3 player for GBA... but I think the quality was pretty poor. Also, it wouldn't have direct access to the CF/SD card... so it'd be whatever you could fit into 32MB which isn't a lot of MP3's.
