I just wanted to make sure that I do not brick my DS. We are 100% sure that you can swap out the Flashme v5 with the Alternate Version of Flashme v5 with no problems?

Hi all - first post, but I've been reading for a few days trying to make some sense of all this.

My kit is: European Blue DS (Nintendogs pack), Supercard SD, Superpass.

As far as I can tell, what I should be doing is this:

1. Download the iquesram.gba and iqsram.sav files to my SD.  I should also get the FlashMe .nds file and anything I need to short the SL1.  I may also have to replace the iqsram.sav with the version for Nintendogs European version.
2. Place the SD into my Supercard and put the Supercard into the GBA slot of the DS.
3. Run the iqsram.gba file from the GBA slot.
4. Turn the DS off, put the Superpass into the DS slot (with Nintendogs in it) and then turn it back on.
5. Flash the DS with the FlashMe file from the Supercard.

The only issues I have are these:

1. All the posts on here refer to PassMe2 rather than Superpass - are these interchangeable, or is the PassMe2 completely different to the Superpass and I should get one of these?
2. I don't have an SD card yet (I'm waiting for it to be delivered).  When I put the Supercard in at the moment the DS says there's no GBA cart in the slot - is this normal without an SD card in it, or is my Supercard just not working?  Should there be anything I put on the SD card before anything else when I do get it?
3. If I put the Superpass in (with Nintendogs in the holster), both screens go white.  I assume that this is because the new DS is incompatible without flashing it.

Any help would be appreciated.

1 - Nope you need a Passme2
2 - Yes thats normal. Only thing to remember is that the SD card must be FAT formatted not FAT32.
3 - Correct in a fashion.. it goes white because the superpass won't work with the firmware on your DS....

Is it possible to reprogram the Superpass to be a passme2 in the same way as it is with the passme? I would have to remove the nice plastic cover, but is it possible or is the superpass different hardware than the passme?

Yes you do get that. Thats the version I'm using cuz I kinda liked the jingle lol  :lol:

I think I'll be using the unchanged firmware as well when I get my passme2. I NEED the jungle!  :lol:
