not yet.  i'm thinking of trying as soon as i get my passme2... which will hopefully be in a day or 2.

loon111

does anyone know if you can use the ezflash 2s for upgrading the firmware if so can anyone help? i have a passme with ique code on and an ezflash 2 ps but can' seem to do it.Any help would be great

loon111

cory's theory works great using sc and passme 2 so u dont have to use a flashcart with sram anymore

moviecouple

So how exactly do I use all this and get it to work?

Looks like I need the GBA file with compatible SRAM for IQue Passeme... but the link is bad.

Also... is the Ique Passme the same as the Passme2?

mr_fuse

sorry newbie but can I just ask if i get the new passme 2 and use it with a supercard do I still need to get my a pink ds flashed?

loon111

Alls you have to do is go here at the bottom of the page http://www.scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1114&start=0 right click on the gba sram files and save as whatever. Then open it with winrar and you will see 2 files iqsram.gba and iqsram.sav.Put both of them files on your sc.Now boot up the ds with only the sc in it and you will see iqsram.gba now select that. You will now see sram loaded on the screen. Now turn off your ds and quickly put in your passme2/ique passme with the metroid demo in, turn it on and bobs yer uncle it will boot to the sc, so if you have flashme.nds on there use that and flash your ds.Happy homebrewing and big thanks to cory1492. :)

Ok. There are 3 links at the bottom of the page. I think I am supposed to grab the GBA file with compatible SRAM for IQue Passeme... which is from the first link. The link is bad though.

and "turn it on and bobs yer uncleit will boot to the sc"... huh?

loon111

yes it was meant to say bobs yer uncle, and for the bad link if you were to right click and save target as, you would of been able to download it like i said above.

socket

well the link is broken for me too, so just let it go.  jeez.

Ok... I got those files now. Thanks guys, but a new problem has arised. The Flashme site is gone now and so is the NDS-FW-v4 software. What can I do now?

VWT4

Now my NDS Blue works with Passme2 for Nintendogs Labrador (E) and supercard.

I use the cory 1492 and loon111 ideas,  but I changed the iqsram.sav:

I made a dummy of 32KB an added it to sram.bin of NintendogsLab&Friends-EUR.zip (from http://www.ndshb.com/cgi-bin/cfiles/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,9 ). Then I renamed it to iqsram.sav.

With the original iqsram.gba and the new iqsram.sav pasted in my CF it works great!!!!

Thanks to cory 1492 , loon111 and noequaliz.

salu2.

cory1492

My site went down for a bit, sorry guys... thanks for hosting the file locally socket.

Thanks for testing it out as well, glad to hear that one does not need a flashcart for this to work when you already have a SuperCard :D

If youd like I re-wrote the tutorial a bit better below... considering the link is to Lynx's site in my old post (my error, sorry :? )

BTW, the local link doesnt work if you come to the site from http://www.scdev.org but does work if you come to the site from http://scdev.org (I think it would be safe to add www.scdev.org to the link protection ;) - I have added them both to my site now so direct links should be able to get files from my site too without copy/paste - so long as its up that is)

Quote
1 - get this file:
   http://www.scdev.org/download.php?type=misc&version=iqsram
2 - if you dont have metroid demo, but have other games, you will need to create a new .sav file that works with your games. See the link below to Lynx's site for more info, or if you have a dump of one of the games you own, you can create your own.
3 - once you have the save file straigtened away, put the IQSRAM.sav and IQSRAM.gba onto your SD/CF card. You may also want to go to the site below and get the firmware update and put that on your SD/CF as well, as well as all the tools you will need to short SL1 if this is your first time flashing the DS.
4 - Assemble the CF/SD and supercard, put that into the DS, and have your PassMe2 handy (ie ready to put in really quick, with a game already in it)
5 - start your DS with no PassMe, and run the GBA file IQSRAM.gba (this loads the SRAM file you are going to use)
6 - Very quickly, you have a small bit of time to do this though, Turn off the DS, put PassMe2 and the game into the DS slot and turn back on the DS.
7 - if everything went well you can now upgrade your DS firmware with flashme V4+, or do the Quick Power Cycle IQue PassMe Insertion (QPC-IQPI) every time.

The file in step 1 contains the SRAM bin from loopy's IQue hack, Im assuming its the metroid demo one:
http://home.utah.edu/~u0422123/iQue/

Lynx has posted a preliminary guide to this stuff:
http://www.ndshb.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=29
as well as results from Natruim42's callfinder app:
http://www.ndshb.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=28

The latest NDS tool can also be used to create an SRAM bin file from one of the clean NDS dumps and it along with the DS firmware update can be found here (on the bottom of the page):
http://ds.gcdev.com/dsfirmware/

If you create your own IQSRAM.sav SRAM file with NDStool, rename the dump to romdump.nds and you can use the text in between the -- lines below in a batch file (in windows, make a new text file with this in it, and rename it to file.bat after saving it, dont paste in the --- lines - put the new .bat file into the same dir as romdump.nds and double click on it)
------------------------------------------------------------------
ndstool.exe -p romdump.nds passme.vhd passme.sav
copy /b passme.sav+passme.sav IQSRAM.sav
echo IQSRAM save file created, have fun!
pause

Since NDS-FW-V4 seems to be gone from the Flashme site... can I use NDS-FW-V5 instead and get the same results? Using the Passme 2/Cory 1492 method on my new NDS Pure White system?
