would this sandisk work just as fast and proficiently as the kingston 1 GB japan on the r4? because i can get the sandisk very very cheap =]

Depends on the Slot-1 device. For example, the R4 DS can use any micro SD card, and it will still play all games effciently.

Or so I have heard. And hope! I just ordered an R4 DS with a Kingston 2GB micro SD!

I have a 2gb sandisk and it plays everything ive put on it without an issue

I've got a fake Kingmax 2gb Micro SD card with my R4 and every game work perfectly!
