apparently the current version supports rom backups, so you should be able to backup original carts on any(?) homebrew device

Wait, so does this mean this is another way of backing up your own DS games?

yup

Wow, cool; someone should start a thread testing success rate of game dumps. This should also definately shorten my needed hardware list.

well i can't get it to connect to my ftp server, it finds the wifi access point ok, but refuses to try and to connect to anything other than 192.168.0.10 no matter what i put in the .ini... its clearly ignoring the wifi.ini file completely as removing the # from #trim is also ignored by the programme... seems a strange bug??  i suppose hard setting my pc ip assigned address to 192.168.0.10 would get round the problem but.......

.... theres a slot-2 version!! which worked fine for me (just dldi patch the nds file), i dumped succesfully, then patched the resultant file with the sc client and it played fine on my sc-cf... cool tool

edit.. got the wifi version working.. to get the programme to use the ini file settings you have to dldi patch the nds file.. why i have no idea, but it works. Also note this programme is fussy about ftp servers, i got it to work with "bulletproof ftp server" as suggested by the notes from the author. http://www.bpftpserver.com/products/bpftpserver/windows/download
Yes I'm mad

the slot 2 version file is great, and it even comes with a save manager that looks like you can go between an original save and a flashcart save (perhaps no more need for reinmoon!? yay). This def. cuts down the needed hardware that the wrg dumper used and you dont even need a flashed DS. For those of us use to the ability of backing up gba games back in the day, and wanting the same for the DS, this is one very useful app.

Because DLDI is the filesystem access code.  If it's not DLDI patched, it can't read the .ini file at all.

In any case, I haven't messed with the wifi version, but I did use the slot-2 version to dump MKDS and its save file, which appeared to work fine.  Interesting to see that a DLDI-capable dumper has been released.

I wonder if the wifi version would be capable of dumping GBA games as well.  I wouldn't need it personally, but others might find it useful.

If i remember correctly, I read someone mention gbaldr as a slot 1 solution to dump gba; and then using cart_save to manage the saves.

I've tried two different routers, and I've patched the nds file but it still says it cannot connect to the wifi.  I edited the ini file correctly, and directed it to my ftp server.  Is it possible for you to add directions on how you got this wifi backup to work?  I have been having a hell of a time trying to get this to work, and at the moment I don't want to have to buy a slot-2 card.
