What other functions does the R4 not have and Supercard DS does, that  you think most people actually USE?

The unique features have been mentioned by some others already, and yes I believe people do use these. I liked my R4 but not enough to want to keep it above my SC1 Its great if multiskins are your thing but I dont use skins on my carts. I do use homebrew though so soft reset from homebrew is a useful feature, as is the native ability to access a slot 2 Supercard for use with browser and gba games perhaps a tad more flexible than the ezflash 3in1. 
Please can someone tell me why the R4 is "the best" cart?  I am not playing devils advocate, I really want to know what makes it so popular even when others clearly have more features.

I definitely say go with the G6 Real for your second cart. It's my personal favorite out of all the ones I own, not to mention you and your girl can switch carts whenever you feel like it.

And biz, in my opinion, the R4 is definitely "the best" cart for the money it costs. But it definitely isn't the best cart. There are other carts out there that does what the R4 does, but also has other features that it doesn't have. This cart has a large and loyal fanbase, so get used to reading that phrase quite often. Don't get me wrong, it is an excellent cart, and one that I use quite often. But it's not the cart of all carts that some make it out to be.

Sounds good, I just bought a R4 today. I'll more then likely pick up a G6 next week or so.

Alright, do you guys remember rein? Well, there isn't anyway to use it with any slot1 is there?

I think i going to buy a new NDSL with SCDS+SClite+2GB kingston microSD*2

I think it is th best combo for me.
