I'm going to buy a new NDSL (I lost my old NDS 3-4months ago :'( )
What should I buy. What is the best flash card now? I didn't came here so long.
I interest to play most game and use homebrew (is homebrew support for Slot1 get better?)

Things i plan to buy
-white NDSL(Asia)
-HORI screen protecter
-SCDS    (what about R4,M3simply G6Real ,M3Real(???any news?) )
-2Gb Kingston(Japan) microSD

and if i still have money. I going to buy slot2 too (for homebrew and extra memory from second MicroSD.
Deciding to buy one of these....
-SClite/SC mini SD/EZ 3 in 1 Expansion Pack

SClite for GBA and homebrew and Opera's ram
SCminiSD for GBA and homebrew and Opera's ram (is homebrew support better than SClite?)
EZ 3 in 1 Expansion Pack - for GBA , rumble and Opera's ram
is it good at GBA support and rumble ?
Does it support homebrew for slot2(run from Slot1 card)
It cheaper than other ;D (but cant have extra memory from Second MicroSD

Is there any new useful homebrews?

And......
Is there anythings/news I should know about NDS ???

Thanks.

Read all the threads regarding the different card types ...make sure you read all the Vs threads where carts are compared by users of the forum  :)

R4/M3 SIMPLY are popular choices at the minute with both offering full compatability and full download play :)

any questions just ask .. but most of the questions you seek are maby already on the forum :)

And....will EZ3in1 work with SCDS with full function?(GBA/Rumble/Ram)

From my research, now people said R4/M3 is better than SCDS but i don't know why?

People said their SCDS broken (lot fo hardware problem not software) but since last time I use SCDS(before it lost) everyone say it is perfect. and as good as R4. May be R4 is easier to use but I like SCDS firmware.

Would you tell me what wrong with SCDS?

VoX

EZ-Flash 3in1 is good for a GBA solution for a slot-1 card but the time it takes to write each game seems like for ever!

Does EZ3in1 support slot2homebrew run from solt1?

I don't think so it is just a gba playing rumbling ram pack.  If you want all those functions why not just get a M3 lite for the slot 2? the gba on the supercard is not that great either, neither of the 2 slot 2s you mentioned will play gba better than the other.  I might also pick the R4 instead since its so easy to use and now it supports download play and cheats.

well. at least the 3in1 wont lag on the gba games like the supercard does

The main reason i buy slot2 is for homebrews (some cant run on slot1).And i think SC is the best for it.

About spacialthings on R4...

according to SC mainpage
Update(2007.08.04): SuperCard DSONE OS SP4 released

1. Rom patch database upgrade to 1255.
2. Added DLDI automatic patching for homebrew. (Patch Enable required)
3. Added RESET function for homebrew.(Patch Enable required) HotKey: L+R+X+Y+A+B. Recommend hold L+R first and then X+Y+A+B.
4. Added DIY skin of OS menu. (Please open SKIN.INI)
5. Added download play supported. (Enalbe Fix downplay required)
6. Fixed 1081 unstable problem in patch mode.
7. Fixed 1235 battle-mode halt problem in patch mode.

look like SCDS does support downloadplay too and also cheats.

what different?

have you read about the sc dl support anywhere besides the website? because b4 the cyclone and the R4 supporting dl fully everyone said they had full support for download play but none of them did.  It's ultimatly your choice, SCDS=more features, but a little harder to make work, R4=easiest to use, less features. and if you want homebrew i guess sclite is your best choice, EZ 3in1 is not an option for homebrew, sc is just not a great gba player and you don't get that "stealthy" look so that people don't know you have a modded console.

for slot2 i suggest ez-flash 4 lite deluxe it does nds, gba, homebrew & opera & comes with glossy shells to match your NDSL
it will complement whatever slot1 card you get................

Doggy124

Maybe I will stick with things I once used... :idiot2:

SCDS+SClite +2GB kingston MicroSD*2

Another question....
I learned that slot2 consume more power that slot1.... but if I use Slot1 to play game but also left slot2 card in the DS, will it consume more power than only slot1 in(put slot2 card out) ?

sonicwind

theres not really a dfiference, they did tests comparing battery life of slot 1 vs. slot 2 and it was very miniscuel so just keep that slot 2 in there.  only problem with the supercard lite is that you want slot 2 for gba and its not your best option. supercard lite is basically a slot 1 in a sense, its great at ds games and homebrew.

Where are those tests you speak of?  It has always been my impression that ejecting any slots you weren't using helped the battery life.  I know that the slot-2 Supercards shorten the battery life quite a bit, so I usually eject my DS-slot card whenever I'm using it, which I've observed to help somewhat.

I choose SClite for homebrew. GBA is not the big deal for me.
