For those who don't know, Metroid: Dread is a long-rumoured Metroid game rumoured to be 2-D and for the DS.  IGN did an article on it a while back (2004, I think?) and that was the last official news on the subject.  We haven't heard anything since, so most respectable journals are considering it to be vaporware.  Here's the Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metroid_Dread#Metroid_Dread


On the Pirate home planet in Metroid Prime 3, there is a terminal that reads "Metroid Dread nearing final stages of completion" or something similar.  It's in the first big room on your way to rescue the escaped Federation trooper.  Is this a hint from Nintendo?

Too damn bad that i will never come! On the 6th of this month Nintendo Denyed metroid Dread's Exitence and said that they WERN'T making a 2d metroid game on the DS but a friend in school told me that maybe nintendo is not making it maybe SOMEONE ELSE IS!  i would really like to play this game. 

How dare they put a "hint hint" in Metroid Prime 3 about Dread and then nintendo has the BALLS and say it doesn't exist!
why did the japs keep us americans waiting for 3 YEARS then..it get's Cancelled!? Somethin's fishy's goin on here
