My problem is that every time I save a game it saves as 512kb.. Now the cool thing I liked about the supercard is that it should save the game as the correct save type like if cooking mama's save type was 64kb it would save at 64kb not 512kb like an r4. But whats been happening is that my saves would always be 512kb no matter what game, even if  my scone has the save info size. My settings are as followed, enable patch-check, I patched all my games so i can reset them also i used nds Tokyo trim v0.44 on all my games. And I just recently turned on fixed dl play if that helps. also another duh is that I have the latest firmware etc.

thanks in advance any tips or tricks would be very nice.
Also I know you can manually do it but I'd like to get the auto feature working... that's one of the reasons I bought it...

Devil_Spawn

are you sure it is not saving at the correct size but the file is too big?

Dudu.exe

if you have any problem if ndsinfo.dat or the game is not in the list, supercard uses de default save size

try update your ndsinfo.dat
get it in http://sccheats.co.uk/

I'm having the same problem.
No matter what settings I use every .sav file is created at 512k

Any help or guidance would be great, Thanks.

I am currently using:

DS:One
2gb Sandisk Ultra II (FAT)
OS2 SP5
Speed 4x

I currently have the default settings (fresh install)

OSW

same thing happens to me. i think it's not a problem, rather it's just easier to always make the saves 512kb.

but i transfered some ez4 saves (256kb usually) and they work fine, so i assume you could cut the save files down and they should still work fine.

FatBlueFish

I've tried using smurf's custom ndsinfo.dat and have the same problem.

I've started to create my own saves when I add a rom to memory card using Dummy File Creater (http://www.mynikko.com/dummy/)

It's amazing how much space is saved when using the correct size for saves.

Doggy124

I think I have read somewhere before, that SCDS will use only 512 instead of 256.

The SCDS has been set to 512k as standard since the last update, but the DSONE is selectable, or auto select.

But it does not seem to be working.

I have emailed ROMMAN with any luck, he can shed some light onto it.

Yea I tried many things but the update some how fixes certain games but fails to auto select the correct one like 90% of the time.. I kinda gave up on it but if you guys can find an auto fix I'd be thankful.

Mikeypr

I have started trimming my saves, an in the case of new games, I just create a dummy file of the correct size.

Those games saves at least stay the right size from that point onwards.

Lets hope a fix comes out soon.

I wonder if SP4 had this problem.

Perhaps it's a fat/fat32 problem. May work on one but not the other.

This is also happening with my SC Lite when I patch the games with v2.62 software. Maybe SuperCard have made it their new standard save size now.

EDIT: Checked the SuperCard homepage and this feature came out with the v2.61 software for all SLOT 2 cards...

2. The NDS games .sav file size to 512K (Support upto 4M bits saver)

Nothing is mentioned about the Slot 1 cards though, strange.

Sorry about getting off track with Slot 2 cards but I thought you should know that it's not just happening to SCone  ;).

The fixed 512 kb save file is normal for slot-2 Supercards.  For the SCDS it should be able to use any size.

This page from official chinese sc forum has updated save list to 1398, but you need to register to download

But i notice it comes as 2 files now a .txt and a .dat and they all seem to think it's working fine. So maybe the format has changed in SP5??

Again I would link them but I cannot tell English from Chinese version, but maybe someone might want to have a nose at it.
Yes I'm mad

i tryed the dats of the chinease site & they still save @ 512kb

plus the chinease & smurfs .dats have mistakes in them with the V0.1 roms e.g 0037-0056 Super Mario 64 & 0561-1395 harvest moon giving the wrong numbers so cheats wont work on them

ive fixed the problem with the .dat on my site & told smurf how to fix it but he hast got round to updating the dat on his site yet
