I am a very happy SCSD user, and after putting up with the purple cart sticking out for god knows how long, I think it's time to upgrade to a new SC that is flush with the system.

I'm debating getting a Lite or a One.  I don't mind running games though a patcher. 

Is there a specific save file format converter for going from SCSD to One?  Do SCSD and SC_microsd use the same save?  I'm just interested in having the same experience as the SCSD, without the giant honking cart reminding me that it is there.

You can use the clean rom (easiest) or use the patching software (different from teh SCSD). No you cannot use the scsd patched rom with the scds1.

You can use the same save.

That is a great deal for the microSD!  Thanks for the tip, I think I'll go with the DSOne so I can use any future GBA slot gadgets/ram cart for homebrew in the future/whatever.

I'm pumped about clean rom support/FAT when it comes to homebrew games.  Warcraft Tower Defense never worked for me, no matter how I finagled cards/DLDI/FAT.  I'm still convinced my cart is a pirate (company I ordered from said my original SCSD was a pirate and sent another... but I'm pretty sure either the pirate runs better, or the second one was a pirate).

Anything special I should do to format the MINISD when I get it?

If you are talking about purchasing a SCDS1, you need to buy a Micro SD. I don't want you to buy the wrong product (i sure you just mistyped) . I have mine formatted to FAT. It can handle both, i haven't heard any reason to go to FAT32 yet that makes me want to switch. With that said, if someone can tell me why FAT32 is better than FAT, i would switch then.

I formatted the MICROSD to Fat, 64k clusters... that the optimal setup for the One?
