Ahh HEAVEN! When I first read about and actually first played this game with the touch controls I was not too happy, but the more you play, you get used to it. I still wish I could control where Link walks with the D pad but ohh well. I am loving the hell out of this game. The things they have added with the touch controls (like the boomerang path drawing) and the mic, really add to the fun and depth of the puzzles. The only downside I have felt from playing this game is the relization that we wont get some more Zelda for awhile since Twilight Princes just came out this year. I don't think I can wait a year or 2 for another Zelda game so im making sure I take my time and really enjoy this one, lol. Hands down, not even a close race, this IS the best game ever on the DS!

Yup, this is really a great game.

I had already beaten the Japanese version, and I figured I would just put in the English version for times when I got bored. But it's such a good game, I've already beaten the third dungeon all over again.

SWEET! Sucks though as im on the last temple. I would have MUCH rather played this with the D-pad and buttons over the stylus. Nintendo REALLY needs to make all this stylus control BS an option and not the only way to control a game. To this day I have not played StarFox DS for longer then 5mins due to the stylus only controls.

WORD! Could not have said it better myself. You have me beat though, i got about 3min into it and called it quits (starfox). They article said they are working on the buttons to do other things, but not at the moment.

D-Pad seems wrong.
Stylus is annoying but it's the only way.
I love the game so far.

I hate navigating the ocean too, though..
I'm stuck on this part where the fog teleports you back to the start of the North Sea.
I guess I'll check a guide in the morning.
Time for sleep.

There is a certain way you have to maneuver your ship around the rocks. I believe you are told how on one of the islands on the map directly below.

Anyways I beat this game last night and am PISSED at the ending. Let me start off by saying the game was fun as hell. I did not care for all the touch controls, but using the stylus for drawing lines to throw the boomerang was fun and also throwing the bombs with the stylus allowed us to have a more accurate throw. I did not like having to move Link around with the stylus, I wish we could have used the D-pad for that. Anyway, the ending pissed me off because:
The final bad guy is a f'ing octopus! Are you kidding me! In Zelda: Twilight Princes they had a golden opportunity to introduce an AMAZING new main bad guy into the Zelda universe with Zant, but they f'ed that up by making Ganon the "real" bad guy once again. I was pissed but could live with it. But now they want to get away from Ganon being the main bad guy in a Zelda game by making the main bad guy an octopus? WTF! I get the whole "ocean" theme, but hell even in Wind Waker Ganon was the bad buy. An octopus, really? Zant > Ganon > Octopus.
i think there is a hack to move Link with the d-pad for the game. at gbatemp
