It seems a sleeper game title called Folklore, developed by Game Republic, has turned out to be a killer RPG game for PS3 according to a recent IGN review. To be honest Folklore wasn't even on my radar until I read this review. IGN has given Folklore an outstanding review score of 9.0 and an Editors Choice award.  Check out the IGN review of Folklore.

If the beauty of Folklore could be summarized into one general theme, it would undoubtedly be its nearly masterful execution of stillness and motion, and the interplay between them. Without getting overly technical or poetic, let's just say that the imagery, sound, and even some of the gameplay mechanics harness these two opposing energies to induce some incredible effects both tangible and otherwise.

. . . a great deal of the magnificence in Folklore comes from the little details: the serenity within a field of bristling flowers and cascading petals, or the charm of a stairway that rings with laughter when your character's foot falls upon it - these are just a few of the many moments that may bring an awed smile to your face.

This is one of the best titles to hit the PlayStation 3, and its eccentricity and charm are undeniable. Unless you're just a straight adrenaline junkie, don't miss your opportunity to witness the poetry and magic of this ethereal hit.
