Well, in all my usage with the scds1, I never have used the fix downplay (which i assume is fix download play). What does this feature do for you?

for me It does nothing .. this is indeed for download play, as i never use it ( 1: i do not have 2 DSs, 2: it make book funcion stop work )  it allways off on my Supercard..

its pobably trys to protect data used in RSA check agains modificacion in patching ( and cheating )

will add here  ....NOTE: for those that still struggle with download play/fix download play... as with R4 If you trim your roms this could be the issue as some trimmers break download play

suggest using NDS TOKYO TRIMMER  or the one thats on the R4DS download page

Yeah, or you can use this nice new trimmer from TeamCyclops. It's an automatic trimmer, and it doesn't break download play. You just view the rom, and it becomes trimmed. Very nice.

Brain's NDSTokyoTrim is excellent too.

Yeah as for fix download play i believe this allows people who dont have the flashcart or legit cart to play. If you're hosting a large game on simple mario kart ds with some players with the kart and others with none.. and you dont have fix download play checked off, the non kart people will freeze up at the nintendo screen.

If you're not playing with cheap people who dont have a supercard or the legit cart yet then just keep "fix download play" unchecked then.
