Nintendo sais there would be at least 1 or 2 3rd party character other than Snake. Meaning there would be a big character announcement before release.

I bet it IS Sonic.

Does anyone know the correct release date for this?

It says October 26th in the UK on the Virgin Megastores pre-order list but other places have talked about late 2008. There has been nothing through on the Nintendo Newsletter which my son gets.

If they are sticking other characters in then I doubt the release in October is correct.

It also has a latest posting on the site from today (5th Oct) talking about co-op mode which has just been put in, so I can't believe the above release date is correct

Sonic has been confirmed and the date is no longer Dec 3rd, it just says TBD on the us site, most likely it will be a worldwide release in January (the japanese release date)

Harrison (via MTV Multiplayer) has confirmed that the US version of Smash Bros. Brawl will follow in its Japanese brethren's footsteps and be delayed until February 10, 2008.

This game kicks all ass, it defiantly lives up to the hype it received!

I love this game as much as the gc game. I'm having trouble playing on wifi tho, everytime I get on and wait for other challengers I get disconnected

I read on Gamefaqs that Nintendo's servers were not ready for the massive amount of people it would be connecting and have gone down. As of right now, the Brawl "With Anyone" is mostly down. You might be able to connect once in a while (I got into one yesterday, woot!) but the best way to go for now until they're fixed is with Friend Codes. The Brawl "With Friends" are all good to go.

I'm almost overwhelmed with how much stuff there is to do. I might have to stay away from the Wii until my finals are over. Terrific game.
