Could this be paying homage to the Mario Excitebike game that was on the SNES? Either way, I think it's a sweet addition.

Im a huge MDKS buff, and I find this gay as hell,  This was the only game motivating me to get a Wii, so screw it.  Id much rather get a PSP now

cant really call it mario kart wii, if theyre adding motorcycles  now its just mario racing wii, still cool though but kinda defeats the whole point of Kart racing

Before it appeared that only peach had motorcycles, but since mario has one...its unclear that if a few or all of the characters will get them

Hell, I don't care if it's called Mario Racing Wii, this looks awesome. That lil flip in the air after going up the ice embankment has me sold already on nostalgia alone.

Not really. It depends on the radius of curvature of the turn. If you have to slow down to turn, it may be faster just to drive into the jump at a low angle so most of your horizontal velocity is preserved.

Ive never ever had to slow down to turn in any MK game
