I'm Planning on gettin a new PSP, just want want to make sure I got everything straight before I do anything dangerous.

1. Buy new PSP Slim & big memory stick
2. Use friend's Custom Firmware Phat PSP to create Pandora Battery
3. Plug in to outlet, run P. Battery in my PSP and Flash it
4. Find lotsa emulators
5.  :D

One thing though - Does Pandora-ing a battery render it permanently unuseable? Just so I don't brick a shiny brand new battery... :tard:

Also, I heard that Slim and Phat PSP's run different emu's. Does this mean that Slim PSP has to restart on all the Emu progress of the last few years, or is it just a quick little mod to the emulator that fixes it?

Read some more forums, one more thing. Is there a cutoff of firmware versions where I won't be able to downgrade/flash it?

There is a way to restore a Pandora battery but it's not very convenient. It's recommended to buy and extra PSP battery. It's good to have a Pandora's battery handy for recovery purposes.

M33 Custom Firmware 3.60 for PSP slim is not compatible with emu's and homebrew built to run under 1.50 kernel, as that kernel doesn't work properly with PSP slim (hardware problems, screen problems). Many popular emu's and homebrew have already been updated to support 2.XX and above kernels, and will work with both PSP and PSP slim.
