Tekskeen, not so new news, but here you go anyways.

QuoteThe Wiikey Team has released a beta version of their firmware which addresses the Error 001 issue in the Super Mario Galaxy Nintendo Wii game. They are now the third company to release a fix for their line of Nintendo Wii modchips.

"We are pleased to announce that BETA HOTFIX v1.9g of the Wiikey firmware is now available to download. Please note that this is a BETA HOTFIX released as an immediate response to feedback from users regarding SMG. It comes with absolutely no warranty or guarantees. Use it at your own risk! Feedback is welcome, but please send your message one time only. We can't reply to every message we get, but we do read all of them."

I have not had time to try this out, does it burn and install easily or do you have to do anything to get it to go (like the fix devs did last time)?

I'm downloading it but I won't use it just yet since I don't really have Super Mario Galaxy as of the moment.

I was one of the first who tested this and yes it works great. SMG works now.
You just burn it on a DVD like the previous update. Same procedure as the last firmware upgrade.

Just got a chance to get to this tonight. Worked perfectly and love Mario Galaxy!

I'd like to confirm the procedure before I perform it.
I burn the 1.9 beta fix downloaded directly from wiikey.cn into a DVD using ImgBurn.
Run the update.
Run the 1.3 Config Disc and turn on Region Free.
Insert Galaxy.

If anyone sees any sort of mistake here, please chime in. :)

I padded the file using filechop first to make it the size of a normal GC iso first before burning it. Works perfect. Though some people say it's ok just burning it right away.

I also have access to that (I think).  I remember I did not need to pad the 1.9b firmware update though.  Just burnt straight away using ImgBurn and it works without much problems.

EDIT:
Just updated it using the file chop image.  So far, pretty okay.  The disc had a file error once but after a retry, it went by okay.

Super Mario Galaxy update went for a good 10 minute or so but after that it's working just fine.  Galaxy rocks!
