The 20GB and 60GB PS3's bought in England support PS2 emulation using software. (compatibility is spotty) The 40GB and 80GB versions do not support emulation.

yeah... so surely the cheap models COULD have software ps2 emulation, its just marketing that stops them

I agree with you, that and R&D cost for the software emulation.

I guess I was wrong abut the 80GB SKU not having software emulation.
