Is there any big differences in these two? I read that the PS3 version will come with wireless guitars at launch while the 360 version will only have the wired guitar at launch (the mic and drums are wired for both versions). Other then that is there really any differences? Do both have the same online features?

I've read that because the 360 uses a proprietary wireless system that wireless guitars are just too expensive while the ps3 uses bluetooth so its cheaper to produce.

i dunno about differences, but i reckon this game is gonna rock!

I went with the PS3 version. The build quality on this is amazing, very solid and feels very heavy and real, not cheap and plasticly. The fender guitar makes the Guitar Hero 3 Gibson look like a play school toy, lol.

My GOD what a game! Guitar Hero is great, but this Rock Band hands down EASILY kills it. The guitar part is just as good as Guitar Hero 3 except the RockBand guitar is soooo much nicer. The drums are the tits! That is hands down the funnest part for me. It's harder then the guitar (it's an actual drum sim) but once you go through a song 4 or 5 times you get the beat down and really start whaling on the drums. I have not tried out the mic (can't sing for shit, lol). If your thinking of getting Guitar Hero 3, drop the xtra $60 and Rock Band instead, you won't be sorry. Here is a video review for RockBand if anyone is interested:
