Problem with GBA roms on DS

Hi, I'm having problems to get GBA roms to play on my supercard. I have tried the following-
Pokemon Saphire & Fire Red
Superman
Barbie Horse Adventures
Harvest Moon

I have patched them with the supercard software and when I select the file on the DS I get the GBA load screen but then it just freezes on the home screen.

I then tried just loading the rom direct without patching to my SD card and I got the GBA boot screen but then it went white.

I'm sure I'm not selecting something right when I patch the roms. I'm using the latest firmware and have a supercard SD version. I'm also using the passme when I  try to boot the roms.

I also notice the load is not going direct from the SD card as the NDS roms do and are taking about 5-6 seconds to load to the GBA home screen.

Your help would be much appreciated as I'm pulling my hair out.

Hi I have never tested the games you mention but some games just do not work with the Supercard.

Try a game like Mario World or Donkey Kong Country, they definatly work.

But it sounds like you are patching the games correctly...

IIRC you need to track down an IPS patch to remove the real time clock from pokemons, and the others are too new to be in the ROM database yet, so its likely any patches added beyond the basic saver patch will cause them to crash (only patch you can use is saver patch, which means only way to save is QPC)... for more options to disable patches right click on the individual rom in the patcher and go to properties.

Try turning off everything except enable save, which you will get the .sav file and patched rom to use with the QPC method of saving...

Hi, Mario world did do the trick and it works :D Thanks. I will try your suggestion cory regarding pokemon as this is the one game I wanted to use. The other 2 roms have been out for some time and are not new. I have had harvest moon since nov 03!
Its a shame the GBA roms seem very incompatable as I understand the supercard was designed for the GBA. Is the rom problem with GBA handheld aswell or is it just  the NDS?

Hi, Tried your method of patching fire red and it done the trick. Thanks. What is QPC method of saving please. I did try to save the game but it failed to recognise anything and would not save.
