Are Saves interchangable between Patch mode and clean mode

I have just got my Supercard DS One and am trying to get to grips with using it regarding patch or not to patch.

At first, I was playing all my games in patch mode but came across a few that didnt work (worms 2 and Kirby Canvas Curse) and discovered that to get them to work I had to turn off patch mode.

I am now leaving off patch mode as I am not really bothered about the special features it gives.  But, I like the idea of the save patch for saving direct to the card.

My question is, if I use a game in patch mode, and then at a later date, try it in clean mode, will the saves be compatible, or will my save game get blattered.

Cheers

Yeah I can second that.

And as well, some games can't run when trimmed. I believe it's BiA, Wario and Kirby Canvas. Just a heads up.

halljames, welcome to scdev!

Go with clean roms and then just use your old saves (you can just rename them if needed). and then set the patch for the games (it shows up when you are on a game in the menu as 'set patch' button. Also on the front of scdev.org is the link to sccheats, you can get the latest ndsinfo.dat there.

Let us know how it goes for you.

edit: TBH, i did not read thru your whole post, sorry for repeating some of the basic info.

Well, I have BiA and Kirby Canvas Course trimmed and they work fine for me.
Btw I'm using NdsTokyoTrim

Do you think the supercard will ever allow you to save patch info per game.  I would like to use the patch mode as a permanent mode, but then for games that I have trouble with, I can set them to use the clean rom mode.

I believe the TopToy DS has gotten individual settings working, so I assume it is possible. Now it just depends how much more time until the SC team can "get their hands on that technology".
