SDSC White Screens on boot

All:

Had an issue where my NDSL with 1.84 was beginning to boot with Chinese letters rather than English.  For a while I was able to get it back to the English by scrolling through the menus.

Tried a reload of the v1.84 FW and the system froze after completion.  After reboot of the NDSL the system now shows 2 white screens whenever the SuperKey and SDSC are inserted.  When removed, the system boots normally to the Nintendo screen.

I am able to use another SDSC in the NDSL and it works correctly.  The SDSC does not work in another NDSL.  I tried standard NDS cartridges and these work correctly.  The GBA games in slot2 do not boot at all and I get the same 2 white screens.

Question: Is the v1.84 a FW for the NDSL or the Supercard?

I am not sure what is going on.  I am able to access the SD card at my PC with no issues and it works fine in the other SDSC.

Also, I have never been able to get the SC Test to work.

Please help.

Thanks,

Mappy

yes 1.84 is for ndsl and nds, no difference. however you mean you can boot regular nds cartridge games in your ndsl but you cant boot regular gba cartridge games in your ndsl?

if thats the case then you ndsl might be faulty, call nintendo for replacment if thats not the case, then try downgrading your firmware and reupgrading, if all fails you have a faulty supercard, or you might wanna send it to someone for that they could try the slot 1  firmware recovery, or if you have slot 1 solution cart than you could try it.

Thanks for the response.  I was able to get the NDSL back working correctly on the NDS and GBA slots so the NDSL is fixed.  I assume that the SC is toast.  I will try the Slot 1 repair solution soon.
