Okay, I messed my supercard up bad, because My SD supercard looks for a compact flash card.  I can't even use firmware upgrades because it won't recognize the sd card anymore.  Firmware version 1.52, FLASH ID ERROR: b904 0000b9c2.  How do I fix this?

You must have upgraded with the wrong firmware version somehow? You will need access to a slot 1 like DSONE or R4 to fix the problem.

http://eng.supercard.cn/manual/faq_slot2.htm

1. You should prepare a slot 1 flash memory card, example: DSONE, R4 etc.
2. Insert the bad slot 2 SuperCard into NDS slot 2.
3. Download and Copy the Recover Program(*.nds) file to the slot 1 flash card.
4. Open the power, run the *.nds like a normal game from slot 1 flash card.
5. Now, you can fixed the slot 2 Supercard lost firmware.
6. Then, you can upgrade to the newest firmware.

Recover Program:

SuperCard CF Version
SuperCard SD/MiniSD Version
SuperCard Lite Version

When I try it, and it loads from the Slot 1 (DSONE), it says "can't find scfw.sc Please turn off NDS!"  or something like that.  Is it supposed to try to run the program automatically?

Have you installed the OS for the Supercard DS yet?  You have to have that on the card before you can launch any .nds files.

I'm not entirely sure exactly what you've done so far, so forgive me if this question is an obvious "yes"

The card is borrowed from someone, I took her microSD card out and put my micro SD card with just the NDS file on it (nothing else).  What other files need to be present on the card?

You have to install the OS for the SCDS.  Grab it from the Supercard site and copy it to your card.
