It seems any new games I have put on my ds after about 1750 or so won't work....  Specifically I have tried loading up 1818 - Wordjong, or 1878 - Clue Mouse Trap perfection.  I have updated to the new os SP1.  But I can't get these games to work, they just go to a white screen.  I have a Ds Evolution, and if I put my microsd in there they load up just fine?  Any advice?

First off, welcom to scdev!

Is yours SCDS1 the regular one or the sdhc version. Make sure you used the correct version of OS. You used the new 'SuperCard DS ONE OS: SuperCard DS ONE OS 3.0 SP1 (2008.01.01)' correct? Have you tried turning on or off the patching?

robinsj

Yes it is the HC one. and i did use the one from 2008.  I have tried turning the patcher on and off I believe.  I have tried the Enable patch option, and the Patch Saver option.  Also, on a side note, is there a reason it scrolls through the games so slow... or is that normal?

Make sure you are using the latest kernel and OS software. Also verify your clean ROM's with Offline list or some other ROM verification tool. All games should work 100%.

Try changing the save size for newly released games that don't work.

Make sure to AUTO detect your memory card speed. Supercard DSONE works best with fast Kingston (Japan) or other Japan made microSD.

Scrolling can be a little slow with large icons. The menu will scroll faster if you change the icon size by pressing Y. Creating folders may help some.

Okay... I am using the new sandisk 8gb card....  all other games I have ever tried on it run great.. no problems whatsoever..   How do I know if I am using the newest kernel?  I know I installed that new os that came out on 1/1/2008, was that the kernel too?  Also, where do I find a rom verification tool?  Thanks so much for all the help

Hold L+R during power up to display version and run diagnostics.

Yes, you should have the latest SDHC version kernel and OS then.

Okay... did some testing... I tried every option and couldn't get it to run.  So I tried it on my 4gb microsd sandisk card and it worked just fine.  But they won't load on the 8gb microsd sandisk card.  Just get the white screen?   Any comments on that?

What does your 8gig SDHC need to be formatted to? I ask this cause i do not know but could this be the problem?

robinsj

No Idea, I didn't know it needed to be formatted....

robinsj

Okay just to keep people posted, I figured I would try formatting the 8gb card.. So I did that, then I just put the one game on it.. and it worked...  I am wondering if either I have a faulty mem card, or if it isn't reading after a certain data amount has been loaded on the card... i will fill the card back up and see....

SDHC 6G 8G problem fixed
SDHC v3.0 SP2 Released today.
1.Fixed a big problem. This problem is that SDHC version can not use the storage space more than 4GBytes when the flash card is 6GB, 8GB or more.

Please download from here: http://eng.supercard.cn/soft_scdsone_sdhc.htm

Okay.. got the new firmware installed and games started loading and all..  Now today I started having a new problem.  Games would lock up while I was playing them.  First I thought it might be a specific game so I would try playing a different game each time.  It locked up about 4 or 5 times, while playing from anywhere to 10 - 20 minutes. Whenver I rebooted also, it would go to the main screen like no card was inserted.  I would have to turn it on and off, and maybe take the supercard in and out to get it to recognize it again.  This is a brand new problem, never ever happened before.

robinsj

Okay now I can't even get the ds to recognize the supercard anymore at all.... Tried it in other Ds's and still no go... Any ideas?

I myself have SC ONE SDHC with regular 2GB Kingston MicroSD and most of the times I try to turn the system on, SC ONE is not even recognised untill maaaaany tries.

It probably has to do with the poor batch of SC ONEs and seller refuses to exchange. :knuppel2:

I just tried slipping a piece of paper behind it and it loaded up.... hmmm.... i don't want to use it like that though......  geesh...
