I got my brand new supercard ds one High Speed today in the morning. I immediatly tried and found out it only boots moonshell but no clean game rom boots. i did the L+R at boot test and got the psram error. i got the kit from real hot stuff, whom i think are great and give amazing service, that includes a 4gb microsd high speed memory. and my question is... does the psram error reside on the cart or on the microsd memory? real  hot stuff has already gave me a service ticket and asked me to ship it back. i have tried the 13 january 08 sp2 update from supercard.cn

Should i bother real hot stuff and shipit back? or do i just blame it on the microsd memory.

so where is psram stored? in sc ds one or on memory?

i was about to order supercard sdhc but after reading so many threads all over the net about this Psram.error i think i'm gonna go for Acekard2 just to be safe.

does the error happened very often?
at least mine is still going strong after a year.
would anyone give a description about psram?
Any other cards that are also using it?

All Supercard models have PSRAM as far as I know. Most other flash cards have PSRAM or SRAM too. The PSRAM error does not happen very often. I have Supercards still working since 2005. My v1 DSONE has been working since 12/2006.  There have been a few people that sent me Supercards for service having this error.  Sometimes the error is because the card is not making proper contact.  Sometimes it is because the PCB is corroded. A few cases may have been manufacturing problems with the PCB in certain batches. Press and hold L+R during power up to test PSRAM.
