Greetings and Salutations:

I have been trying to install and use MoonShell on my DS Lite.  I've tried version 1.7 but I had issues playing videos. So I tried version 1.6.  I convert my mpg's using BATCHDPG v1.0.  Not sure why the videos aren't playing.  The top DS Lite screen reads "request ARM 7 MP2 decode" and "video playsize setting error".  Anyone know what I may be doing wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

it sounds to me like you are using an incompatible version of dpg because it is an older moonshell.
what happens when you try to play with moonshell v1.71?
what happens if you use the dpgenc encluded in v1.71 with v1.71.

Hi,

I want to thank everyone for the good advice. I'm using the MAX MEDIA DOCK with a 2GB SAN DISK COMPACT FLASH CARD.  The software that comes with the MAX MEDIA DOCK doesn't allow for forward search while watching video and limits the DS controls to the touch screen and volume slider.

Here's what I tried.

1st - downloaded MOONSHELL v. 1.71
2nd - downloaded BATCHDPG v. 1.0 beta 8
3rd - downloaded AVISYNTH_O70919
4th - downloaded .NET FRAME (Microsoft)

I then installed each program.  MOONSHELL 1st followed by BATCHDPG, AVISYNTH and then .NET FRAME

MOONSHELL worked great playing my MP3's and allowed me to use buttons to control the music (which was great).

When I converted using BATCHDPG I got the same error which was disappointing.  I then tried converting an mpg using the dpgenc.exe that came with MOONSHELL.

The message I got from dpgenc.exe said "The audio stream was not able to be acquired".

The files that I am trying to convert work fine when played on VLC, Winamp, etc.

I'm at a dead end again.  Any suggestions?

i suggest you try downloading one of those codec packs like CCCP - which contain mp3 encoders/decoders and whatnots... VLC and Winamp probably have mp3 support or whatever sound support built into the application

Devil_Spawn

you probably have a bit of a funny video, that doesnt use standard codecs, either get a codec pack like klite, CCCP like liquidn said

there is also a video converter called SUPER you may want to try
