dammit I just got used to playing about with the TTDS and another card comes out doh!

It's actually a nice looking flashcart. But there's nothing in the features list to set it apart from the rest.

the EDGE is for sale now at dealextreme some people are saying its a cyclods evo clone which cant be a bad thing

Got one of these this morning, the case is definately special but you'd have to have a very small head to get that band round it Unfortunately my initial impressions are that its slow to load to the main menu and the menu itself is so fugly I can't use it. Waiting for an update / skinning support..

So how long do you think it will be before every person in Hong Kong has released their own cart? Anyway, I just ordered an M3 Real Perfect set last night, so this thing had better suck.

No one actually knows if its a clone or made by Cyclo themselves ( the same people who cloned supercard slot 2 cards ) as a cheaper alternative to the Evolution.  Whilst the Evolution has some great features; it costs a lot and if the features aren't anything you'd use it doesn't make sense paying for them.

I just ordered one of these. I couldn't imagine that the OS would load any slower than any other card that uses the OS from the microSD (R4, M3 Simply, DSLink, etc etc). It does look like a clone of the CycloDS, just subtracting the Cyclo's onboard flash that contains OS files. The cyclo loads the OS from that flash, which is of course much faster than loading from the microSD....which is why I believe when people compare this cart to it they would think the loading is slow. Anyway, it seems to me that people are giving ita bad rap more because it is being labeled a clone (or theft) of the cyclo team's design....and not because it is a bad cart. The GBATemp review looks favorable. We'll see when mine arrives.

I've not tried any recent firmware updates, using a AK2 mostly now - but the Edge was slow to load compared to eg AK2, R4, DSTT etc not just vs Cyc Evol
