Looking for opinions from you if you have used or tried this product below...

OK, found a heck of a price on the 'Extreme Flash Advance EFA-Linker for GBA/GBA SP (512M)'. I am only going to use it for GBA games and want to know if anyone has used it and what they thought of it? Saving, playing, etc..

Also the ELINK as well.

Thanks in advance

not had one but I read that they work ok :)

to add though my views to gba cards... personally I have 2 EZ FLASH III cards that work great 1gigabit and a 2gigabit you can fit 20-30 games on them respectively saving and loadings never been an issue and only a couple need a battery patch which is simple to do :)

only downfall is some people found the ezflash III cards to be fiddly to setup...I had bother and found there was an issue with the drivers but managed to fix it  :)

Lately for myself I bought an EZ 3 IN 1 card which also works great but can only hold/use 1 game at a time but with the advantage of being able to store the gba games on my slot 1 (R4) memory card and the bonus of being able to use it for a RAMPACK for opera and homebrew stuff and that extra little bit of the rumble :)

remember though if its to play in a GBA/GBA SP you will need a FULL SIZED EZFLASH otherwise it will not fit  ;)

I would choose by asking myself questions .....what would you need to use it for?

If its for just the odd GBA game then go for the 3 in 1 If its for more serious gba play then get a dedicated GBA card :)

I am looking to put a couple of gba games on it that i like 6-8. I found it for $21 which includes shipping. I think it is very similar to my daughters xrom512 cart.

I know there are other things out there newer. I like the way my daughters xrom512 plays/saves and want to know if this is just as good with gba games. BTW, it will be used in a dslite/phat/sp. The cart is the size of a gba game.

I just want to know if it works and saves well, as it is only 21 dollars

ok, i also am looking at the Elink 512 as it is the same price, and appears to be a little bit better but not sure.

I'm assuming that the EFA is as reliable as my good old EZ Flash II...

EFA should be pretty reliable and play all games great.  ELink's cart is just phenomonal, but their software is pretty bad.  It is glitchy and often has freezes.  However, other than that, the ELink excels, full speed games, decent support, and now save states, cheats, and other cool features.

Up to you, if you can deal with the crappy software, then go for it!

Yeah the Elink rocks! It a new card and it has good support too. I love my Elink its just the Software needs to be better, that was the only problem I had with it.
Visit neschncardreviews.tk for some amazing flashcard reviews... Done by me!

My XGFlash 128 is a nightmare, like I said can't say if the 512 suffers the same problem but I'd not buy another XG Flash product from my experience and their lack of support for the one I have, hell if you're in the UK and you pay postage you can have my 128 as I don't even have a GBA/SP to flash it with anymore and it came with a linker for one of those! I do have a copy of the software somewhere but like I say - if you get it to work good for you.

I did get it to work, but the save battery is removable and dies in no time, and the thing never supported more than 1 rom despite what they said - oh and there's no way to backup the save - I used to have an SMS memory stick for this.

I really wish the DS had that GBA link cable support for 2player GBA!

bamboogaming have the EZ Flash 4 for about $20 now, full size, I got one of these from RHS, and it's the best GBA device I've owned.

Of course the EZ 5 3-in-1 is great too for in my DS, but my EZ4 really compliments my micro and if I'm traveling it's usually what goes with me!

OK, i went with the elink and it seems to work as expected, good. Thanks for all of your input!
