As far as i can see nobody in this forum has posted something about the new Wii-Freeloader from Datel yet... so let me play the smart-ass  ;D

As many of you may know, with this little disc it should be possible to launch any Gamecube or Wii Import - of course without any ModChip installation - on any Wii. Great for me, cause i'am only interested in Imports and not in Backups.

I recieved the european version of it yesterday (of course, my Wii is PAL)

First of all: I cannot test any Wii Import - cause i don't have anyone here  :'(

... but i've got a lot of GC Imports (JAP & US)... and the compatiblity seems to be awful:

Residen Evil 4 (US) - Works
Resident Evil 3 (US) - Works
Mega Man X Collection (US) - dosen't Works
Mega Man Anniversary Collection (US) - dosen't Works
Rune (JAP) - Works... but dosen't save, like on GC Consoles with the old GC Freeloader 1.06B
Rune 2 (JAP) - Works... but dosen't save, like on GC Consoles with the old GC Freeloader 1.06B
Wario World (JAP) - dosen't Works
Mario Tennis (JAP) - dosen't Works (crashs and restarts itself as soon as you start the game)
Mr. Driller (JAP) - dosen't Works
Puzzle Collection (Panel de Pon & Dr. Mario) (JAP) - dosen't Works

I guess the Wii Game compatiblity is much better, but the GC compatiblity is rather poor.

I don't think i did anything wrong... it's senceless to boot with the Freeloader disc - nothing happens, it's also senceless to put it into the drive when you are in the Disk-Channel ("Can't read disc" message appears)- only when you insert it in the Main-Menu the "Color-Flash" appearts twice as it should be, then i swapped the discs and entered the Disc-Channel and clicked on "START"...

Well... has anyone else some experiences he may wants to share or post his opinion - I would be grateful  :smitten:
