Hello to you all.
Today I received one Super Card SD, and one of the first things I did was to upgrade it's firmware to the last version(1.85) now I have one useless menu where I can't do anything.    :'(
I didn't even tried any game, the only thing I tried before making the upgrade was the movieplayer from the supercard site and worked great.

Here it is the menu where I can't do anything.

Can somebody help me?

Cheers.

downgrade it again?

did you use the correct firmware for your card?

remember theres MICRO SD and MINI SD cards as well as SD card variants of the SUPERCARD :)

BE-COOL

Hello mate. Thank you for the fast reply.   ;)
I did use the correct version (_http://eng.supercard.cn/download/sd_v185.rar), I tried the 1.84 but now it won't upgrade, when I start the gameboy micro it will go directly to that freezed menu, and don't alow me to do anything... I also did the SELF TEST MODE that is in the supercard FAQ and everything looks fine, it detects the 1.85 version and no hadware error.

Is there any way to put one older firmware without using the 2 official methods?

Cheers.

Since I can't do anything(the menu is freezed) can I use automatic upgrade of firmware? I red that scu files do that, is there any for my SuperCard SD?

Thanks in advance.

try putting the 1.84 or 1.85 update as the only file on the card, then when you get to the blank menu press a

Didn't work, I tried also scu files of 1.61 and 1.80 but now I don't even have a menu, the only thing I get now is a white screen.  :buck2:
The SELF TEST MODE still says that all hardware is fine, but now it doesn't say the firmware version...
When I think I was about to buy the EZ-Flash IV I only get angrier with myself  :ticked:

I appreciate any help I can get right now.

Thank you all.

Think you got the rumble version there, for what i see on the picture it looks just like my nephews minisd rumble that i got him for xmas. You might have used the wrong firmware for your SC.

I bought this from one official seller in Spain(SatKit):

I got this:

How do I know if it is a rumble version?

How can I resolve this problem of the white screen? The only method I have now of changing the firmware is using a scu file, but every scu file I use I always get a white screen after changing the firmware.

Cheers.

As far as I know, SCU files are updates for the firmware, you should try with a BIN firmware instead.

Do you have access to a slot-1 device to run the firmware recovery program?  It sounds like a corrupt firmware to me, though I'm not an expert.

Otherwise you can contact bitblt who offers Supercard unbricking services to SCDev members.  Check his stickied topic in the Marketplace forum for more info.

No I haven't mate.

That's Pretty Lame because I upgraded my SuperCard SD with the correct version for my card that was in the official site of SuperCard.
Do you know where I can find upgrade.scu files of the last versions(1.83, 1.84 and 1.85)?

Thanks you all for giving me hope in reviving this little bastard.

Cheers.

Only certain versions of the firmware come in *.scu format.  Most of the non-Rumble upgrades are in *.bin format, which you launch manually.  You've already tried loading just the update to the card and blindly launching it with the A button, right?

You can see why the SC Team decided against firmware flashes for the Supercard DS, instead upgrading just the OS each time.  It's a somewhat risky business.

BE-COOL

Yes I already tried that without any luck  :-\

Since the SuperCard still run the upgrade.scu file it's not completely dead, I guess it is just a matter of wanting and the SuperCard Team can make upgrade.scu files for SuperCards that have firmware problems and fix it...

They should try to resolve this, because if these problems continue to occur, customers will not be buying another SC products again, and they will move to M3, or Ez-Flash cards, at least if I can't repaire this card, I will never be buying another SC again...
A basic marketing rule I learned in college, "One unhappy customer can multiply to many" since one happy customer will talk about how happy he is with the product to few friends, one unhappy customer will tell everybody how disappointed he is.

C'mon SC team... do your job.

Cheers mates.
