well no problems in bridging f1 and f2 but still this ds has same fault but there are signs of water damage so i will use it for spare parts . As for the screen replacement no probs wires were a bit fiddly around the hinge but rolled up they went through spot on thanks to you all for your posts have decided that its much better to get a hold of ds with cosmetic faults ie hinge damage or screen damaged . cheers

have you checked both screen's ribbon cables are fully connected?

Good point. If one of those ribbons isn't properly seated then the DS will not power up.

No a havent checked the cables on it .But will do . The console itself was very cheap so im not to bothered about using it for parts . As this has been my first attempt pleased that the screen replacement went well.

also been using rev 4 cart but lookin to buy something that would support 4 & 8 gig micros any help there would be greatful . cheers
