My PSP slim has these weird lines in the back ground. Like, they are just green straight lines running across the screen. Any way to fix this? My firmware is 3.80.

I'm not sure but it seems like the LCD has a loose connection somewhere.  Do the lines change when you squeeze the PSP?  You might want to take your PSP apart and have a look at the LCD connections. You can find video on You Tube how to dismantle your PSP.

Can i send it in to sony, or will I get caught?

you can always restore your psp to original firmware and then change it back to custom firmware once they send it back as long as you still have a pandoras battery or access to another psp with custom firmware
