Memory Card Issues on DSONE

Hi All,

I recently had the chance to try out an 8gig (Sandisk) memory card (Class 4) on my DSOne, but with disappointing results.

I did the Auto Memory Speed, which game me a result of only 5 way under the 25 min needed to work properly on the card.

Games were really jerky.

On benchmarking the card on a PC, it runs way faster that my 2gig and 4gig cards.

So what's the score here? Is it just the DSONE? is is some other factor involved?

When I have time, after the weekend I aim to try the card on my DSTT & DSTT Kernal on DSONE, to see if that is a factor.

Any advice on what is causing this appriciated.

With Thanks

MK

i dont think its read & write speeds but the access times that the scdsone uses

its defiantly the scdsones loader problem because testing my crap kingston taiwan in my scdsone with the dstt loader it works perfectly with the castlevania intros & AC:WW

you wont be able to test your SDHC card in your R4 but testing my crap kingston taiwan in my DSTT i get the same results as above it runs perfectly

Thanks JMR as always to the point and seems to be spot on.

Perhaps the SuperCard team will take note, as I have now put the speed up from 25 to 28 to get the D.O.S intro running perfectly.

I was lucky enough to bag a ACEKARD 2 from dealextream this week, and it's in packaging so I almost have it.  Will do some tests when I do.

At the moment the store I buy my other cards from don't carry it, otherwise I would have definitely bought one from them.  I have never done business with such an honest person (No exagerration)

Thanks Again, And Love the work you do.

So the card works ok but auto detected wrong ?

I was about to suggest trying the DSTT Menu on the SCDS One to see if that helped.

Nope, You really do need a good card on the DSONE, but I have other poorer cards on the DSONE with the DSTT menu and they seem to work fine.

Not had the chance to try the 8gig Sandisk yet.
