I tried it with a DS game and with that one it works fine.

do you mean visual boy advance as in the PC EMULATOR??

are you trying to patch them to run with vba?

if so you dont need to patch anything to run gba roms on it, it has nothing/ need of supercard stuff to get the roms working just give it the ROM file even zipped and it will/should work if not you need to change some of the settings such as eprom save state or battery save state in the options?


other suggestion to try is unzip/unrar the file sometimes they come zipped but also winrar compressed within the zip files!

I think he means he's using the same ROM in VBA, and is asking if that could be a reason it doesn't work.

if thats the case thats why as patching it with a supercard patcher alters it to be played from a flash card afaik

He meant GBA not VBA. He is trying to patch GBA ROM. The file "1859 - Medabots - Rokusho Version (U).rar" is a GBA ROM.

You need to use WinRar to decompress the ROM first. You need to patch 1859 - Medabots - Rokusho Version (U).gba

Here's what I did. I unzipped the file. I opened the SupercardSD.exe, then clicked the ADD button. I found my file and opened it with the software. If I try to change the settings or click the OUT button, it gives me that access violation message.

The clean rom works with VisualBoy Advance, but the Supercard software won't let me convert it for my Supercard SD.
