i dont know why they would sell peripherals serperately, except for maybe on ebay - when it was on console, you could have multiplayer with 2 guitars, on ds - i dont think you could do download play, so you would need to buy a cart anyway, thats if it has any multiplayer at all

if you lose the peripheral for some reason, your not going to want to buy another copy of the game just to get a new one are you? kids lose things all the time, and so do adults, so they will sell them seperately most likely

If that logic were true, surely you would see opera expansion packs etc for sale seperately (and i mean official ones)

Guitar hero works because you get to play on what looks like a guitar, but this just adds more buttons to your DS. If you want to try strumming a guitar on the DS there is a Hannah Montana game that lets you do so. Nice gimmick, but it's still a gimmick...
