I have not purchased an SDHC memory card yet, still using my 2GB Kingston (Japan). I'm holding out for a 16GB microSDHC memory card.  :cool2:

I tried it but I can't figure it out. I have Pokemon Emerald in my Slot 2 SuperCard Lite, and enabled GBA Union (although I'm not sure how the GBA Union is supposed to know which GBA game to link up to from the SC Lite) and ran Pokemon Diamond, but the option to migrate wasn't there.

Anyone else figure it out?

EDIT: I realized my mistake, the Slot 2 SC is just for RAM purposes. I put a Pokemon Emerald rom with saves into my Slot 1 SCDS1, and loaded the rom to Slot 2 with GBA Union on, but it still didn't work. I wish Romman had a bit more instructions than just to use the SuperCrad.

EDIT: It works! You need to use a clean rom; I had simply copied over my SC Lite formatted rom. However, my save file is corrupt, so this still hasn't worked for me yet, but the function itself does work and it's pretty easy.

Final EDIT: Got it to work for me. Turns out I was using a 64k save, whereas Pokemon Emerald uses the 128k saves. After converting my old save file to 128k, every thing's working great. Keep in mind that Pokemon in party and Pokemon with Hidden Moves can't be transferred over until you fix things back on the GBA side.

Conclusion - Use a clean rom, put it on your SCDS 1, and make sure your Pokemon Emerald .sav file is 128k. =]

Bonus! Since the SCDS 1 doesn't actually save GBA .sav files (as far as I know), the pokemon you transfer over to Pokemon Diamond/Pearl don't ever actually leave your GBA game either. Pretty easy way to start cloning, actually. All of the pokemon I transferred over are still in my Pokemon Emerald .sav file.

Hello
I got my Supercard One today but when i press on the Migrate Button on Diamond it says "Error when reading GBA Game Paks save file", my emerald save is 128k, its named "GBA-Game.sav".

Could u make a small tutorial and what program u used to convert the save?

Edit:I got it to work with naming the sav file xxx.gba.sav and using a DS Phat,DSLite says i pulled out the GBA game, nice nice ;D.
Also dont forget that its maybe needed to resave the file in an Emu like VBA cause when it ingame says "savegame corrupted" Pokemon-Link wont work.

I had the same issue after upgrading the Kernel on the DSONE, I solved it by setting the memory speed to 28 instead of the auto detected 25.

It would run at 29 (Crashed at 30) but wanted to drop it two speeds to be sure.

So just set the speed of the card to 28, and all should be fine.

Klaus2,

Glad to hear it worked for you. I was waiting on this feature for months before I figured it was impossible and would never happen.

sorry wanna ask a little question

what a 'DMA mode' stands for?

whats going on if I check the option?

thanks before

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_memory_access
Doing stuff eats CPU - Direct Memory Access mode is a hardware-assisted way of funnelling data into system memory.  DMA mode can be quicker than using the CPU (Programmed I/O mode) to move data about.

When you do a simple self test (keep L+R pressed and power on, keeping L+R pressed) it tells you.

I can't exactly tell, I haven't read any speed tests or anything, but it seems like I save faster with DMA on for games like Pokemon Diamond. And the lag on the UCS mission side of Front Mission is gone, whereas before the lag was so bad it was hard to enjoy it.

I haven't found the need to turn it on for most games, but DMA didn't seem to make a difference for me in Castlevania: PoR.

Use sparingly, I guess.

Can you describe further this lag?
I want to see what sort of improvement it brought myself.
yeah, with SP3, every game seems to save faster, with or without DMA enabled.

I had a Kingston Japan 1gb memory card, I'm using a Kingston Japan 2gb card now. In either case, the memory card shouldn't be the reason the game lagged.

When playing Front Mission, on the very first UCS mission, animations were slow, movement was slow, hell, even menu selection was slow. This is probably because the OCS missions were in the original Front Mission, made for the SNES. The UCS missions were added in later in a port to the Playstation, featuring slightly better graphics and backgrounds. The DS version has both.

For some odd reason, the lag isn't noticeable on the OCS mission side. It runs just fine, comparable to the original SNES version.

Setting both sides to "Fast" battle speed and "Fast" text only really helped the OCS side. UCS was still slow.

After turning on DMA, the problem is fixed, and the UCS missions are just as fast as the OCS.
