Waninkoko has released v2.1 of his WAD installer. With this you can install homebrew or VC wad files (or ANY .wad file) onto your Wii. This with the newly released .wad packer will make homebrew on the Wii even easier to install and use!

Checked through the Spanish forums (fora?) and it appears to work better via a channel.

Although this version (2.1) says that Wii mote support has been removed, it does work with the NES games.

Pity they can't find a way to do a temporary transfer of the games into the Wii memory and then put it back on to the SD card- the Wii internal memory will probably support a maximum of 8 N64 games (I have put on ones that we already have rather than having to fish out the N64).

Does anyone know about support for the VC N64 games with a gamecube controller?

The ones that I have put on all insist on using a classic controller, though I have read that N64 VC games work with the GC controller.

Edit: it appears, after searching, that 3rd party GC controllers don't work. Anyone know if this is true?

i was using a logic3 controller with sin & punishment yesterday & it worked fine
its the only game ive tryed so i cant say if it works for any other game

Of all the games i have tried (about 10), they all worked with a GC controller, we are using the wavebird.

Edit: tried a few with a 3rd party GC controller (gamestop) and worked fine.

Thanks for the comments- it appears that the children had the pads in slots 3 & 4, which worked fine when we were all playing Mario Kart Wii. For it to be recognised with VC games the controller has to be in slot 1.
