These are the instructions on how to use the emulator, from the ReadMe:
[spoiler]USING THE EMULATOR

Required:
* Nintendo DS (lite)
* DLDI compatible flash card

First, you need to patch NeoDS.nds for your DLDI flash card (NOTE - not all flashcards require patching).  See here: http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/DLDI/index.html.  Please don't email me for help about this, there are plenty of places online that explain how this works.

Next you will need to convert some NeoGeo roms (mslug.zip for example).  You also need a bios rom (neogeo.zip).  NeoDS uses the same rom sets as MAME, so make sure your games work in MAME before proceeding.  Put all the roms you want to convert along with the bios together in a folder.  Copy NeoDSConvert.exe into the same folder.  Run NeoDSConvert, and it will convert all the NeoGeo roms in that folder.  The converted roms will have the *.neo extension.

Copy the DLDI patched NeoDS.nds, and all the *.neo roms into the root of your flashcard.  Run NeoDS.nds.  The main menu should load, showing you a list of all the roms on your card.  Use the arrow keys to select, and press start to choose.  The rom should load, and you should be playing.  You can load a rom without audio which will improve frame rate, but you won't get any sound (obviously).  Once a game is loaded without audio, the only way to get audio back is to reload the game.  Some games will freeze with audio disabled, so be warned! Edit: it seems there is a bug with the converter, you have to choose the bios version, using one of these command line parameters:

Version 0.1.1 was released, adds support for slot 2 ram, and fixes Metal Slug 1, Metal Slug 2, Last Blade 2, King Of Fighters 98 and others.

this emulator ROCKS and slot 2 support for extra ram is a nice bonus!!

..... shame though you need to really have a huge mem card to make the most of having loads of neo roms on lol

working on SUPERCARD RUMBLE MINI SD firmware 1.85 

get it here make sure you copy both files to the ROOT directory of your flash card for this to work

note:- this will overwrite your DLDI if you have one on your card you may wish to back it up before proceeding with the overwrite of the one in the NEODS folder

convert using -bios9 then you can hit (A) and alter various settings in the game options

If you havent patched already you do need to DLDI patch this if your card does not auto patch

and if it still does not work then you need to get a new bios pack maby?

or update to the latest version of NEO DS 1.1

Bios and rom are key here, it uses mame roms so use clrmamepro and get latest mame then verify them.

Kof98 definitely works for me, using uni-bios 1.0

which as previously noted gives you access to the dip switches or you can choose console mode and go to the menu :-)

You have to download uni bios, unzip it, make sure the file name is uni-bios.rom and add it to your neogeo.zip file. Then, start the converter with the -bios8 parameter and it should work
