I just got my first supercard ds one the white sdhc version, downloaded the v3 sp3 and put that on, now everything seems to work but i dont have access to the menu ie options etc as it is displayed on the top screen not on the touchscreen.

I have looked around the global.ini but cant seem to find anything that would help.

On another point, is it better to use the modified ini files found on here that were made by someone else? if so, any reccomendations on which ones would be great.

Sorry for the topic that has probably been asked a million times (or not)

I'd appreciate any help.

congratulation for choosing and welcome!
scds1  has a LOT of features, but not noob friendly.
as pertaining your problem, just press L + A to bring that down.
after editing, make sure to save your changes in Special--> save menu option.

sc menu is slow.
now you can use another loader that is faster when you do not want a lot of function

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, I have used the DSTT before and it was easy i must say. I will use the modified ini's first, give them a try, do i actually lose the real time save functionallity if i use the DSTT menu?

I started with the black DSOne.  I recently got myself a white SDHC (And gave my black one to my uncle)
The only real difference is the SDHC one can take larger than 2gig cards.
The .INI settings are the same, the GUI looks the same.  The load time for games is about the same.
They use the same cheat files, save files, and ndsinfo.dat files.

Put the tripple loader on, you can have any OS as default and choose from one to another with just a button press or 2, you don't lose any functions that way, want real time save ? just load the game from the scd1 menu, of course tick the option for it, press 'x' to bring up the options for any game highlighted.
