I have two questions that I just can not seem to figure out >,< First off, I have a R4DS and a Supercard Lite and I was wondering if anyone has tried the SNES emulators for both? And if so, which one would you say is better? And secondly, does anyone know where I can find a tutorial on how to get the Supercard SNES emulator working? I got the r4 one working but no luck on SC. Any help is greatly apreciated!!!!  :smitten:

you may need to patch it for slot 2 with the sclt.dldi file to get it to work on the supercard :)

assuming you using SNEmulDS version 06a?

you will also need to put the snemul.cfg file in the root directory of your mem card .. this means the first folder you see when you open the mem card in MY COMPUTER  :)

There is no "R4 SNES emulator" or "Supercard SNES emulator" or anything.  There are three SNES emulators overall that all devices may or may not be able to use.  SNEmulDS, the one you most likely used on your R4, will function exactly the same on your Supercard Lite as it did on the R4, aside from the fact that it may choose to use the Supercard's slot-2 RAM to store large game files if you so choose to do so.

The major thing the SCL lets you do is try out SnezziDS, which does not work on slot-1 devices at all.  The SnezziDS CPU core was integrated into SNEmulDS a few versions back, but if you'd like to try it out nevertheless, grab the latest v0.28a version from http://snezzi.pocketheaven.com and drag-and-drop your game onto snezzi.exe to create a "GAMENAME.smc.nds" file.  Copy it to your SCL, use the R4 to boot the SCL into DS mode, and launch the .nds file.

Press L+R+Start in-game to setup your options for that game, which is very important for changing graphics layerings.  You can also use some button combinations in-game to quickly change some options:  L+R+Select+Up cycles through several known "good" background combinations, so usually one of those will work fine for any point in the game, while L+R+Select+Down lets you manually set the mode to use (MODE 7, MODE 3, etc) rather than letting SnezziDS choose it for you, which is useful for some games.

Saving will be a bit tricky.  You'll need a blank 64 KB save file to begin with, named the same as your .nds file.  After saving in-game, turn off the DS and quickly turn it back on in GBA mode.  At the Supercard menu, press Right to get to the Saver tab and navigate to your .sav file before pressing A to overwrite it with the updated save data.  This is done because SnezziDS was made before DLDI was available, so it doesn't automatically save to the *.sav file on your card.
