This is freaky: Do you see the dancer spinning clockwise or counter-clockwise? (It's a simple animated GIF so there are no parlor tricks involved!)

i see it going counter-clockwise but my wife sees it going clockwise

bullshit!!! i see both going counter clock wise and clock wise, if you pay attention it switches directions at one point, either that or im high on crack.

nope yer both right stare long enough then blink/scrunch/screw your eyes up closed and it will reverse the direction

@jmr, i agree with you. This time i saw it counterclockwise and then refreshed and it is now going clockwise again. WTF!

i saw it clockwise first, scrolled away... anti-clockwise... scrolled... clockwise... youget the idea random!

I've done this before, and it's rather interesting.  If I stare at the one leg in the center it's easier to make it switch at will.

Though I think the shadow really only works if it's going counter-clockwise, doesn't really look natural when you're viewing her spinning clockwise.

I see counter-clockwise and no matter what I do, I still see it counter clockwise

So... if a person is able to see the dancer spin counter-clockwise/clockwize more easily than they are the other direction, does that reveal what half of the brain is stronger or something?

Personally, I'm usually only able to see it going ... every once in a while I can make it change direction, but only after trying really hard for a long time.

Try downloading a hefty file at the same time (as I am doing) and it is clearly clockwise (in pretty slow motion!).
