QPC was a method to save used for most games when the new firmware wasn't released yet (able you to save on the flashcard and not on a DS real cartridge).

Now, the new firmware is released and 99% of the game don't need QPC, so you will probably not need it (except if you use a GBA Flashcard to run NDS rom).
