Sorry all, I tried searching for this almost an hour and couldn't find it.

How can I check which version of Flashme I have?

Thanks in advance...

Edit: I'm so sorry I put it in the wrong section. I thought I clicked right!
Please forgive me.

haha not a problem. I hope you find this section more agreeable. In answer to your question though.. no idea. Its reasonably safe to install and uninstall so if you're worried just get the V5 and install...

You don't have to uninstall to upgrade your FlashMe, but you do need to short SL1 (the contact under the battery cover) again to install a newer version.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

Not always. Only versions that change something in the protected sector of the firmware needs the SL-1 contact done again (IE, upgrading from version 3 to version 4 won't need it. But upgrading to version 5 will)

Well, that's what I meant.

But why would you want any version but the latest? Especially with the Mario Kart brickings (which this prevents.)

Thanks for all the help dudes, I did it. I almost pooped my pants as it is the first time I did it myself. I trembled like hell, so afraid of bricking my DS. But it worked!!!! Yoooohoooooo.......hooooooooooooo

Well, here goes waiting for Mario Kart.

PS: Is it me or aren't there hardly any releases for the DS lately. Damn I'm so suspicious. Could it be this new protection has something to do with it?
