Quote from: "Angry_Gumball"I have 3 SD cards, in which all 3 were used on my digital camera. I don't really want to go out and buy an extra SD card if it's not necessary but I'll probably pick up an SD card at Wal*Mart this weekend anyway to see if it was the card. Before I decide to actually buy one, can anyone here confirm that cards previously formatted by digital cameras/mp3 players etc. won't work? I have tested 2 of the 3 so far and no dice. I need to clean the contacts on the third SD card as my computer's not recognizing that one. Thanks for the help so far.

Another question while I'm here: when I power up the GBA, are there any combo of buttons I have to hold as it turns on or does it just turn on like a regular GBA game?

Most cameras in such would use Fat32 IIRC. You want fat16 for this stuff.

I am reformatting it as a FAT, not the FAT32. When formatting at FAT, is it a FAT16? (I right-click the disk drive, go to format, change to FAT instead of FAT32 and click Format) I'm wondering if my SD cards are that picky as far as compatability. As mentioned, all 3 of them have been heavily used on my digital camera.
tried being normal, and it sucked.

Sorry for double post but from what I'm reading in another topic, the "Impact" brand SD cards aren't being recognized by the SCSD. I'm gathering from this is they're incompatible. What brands of SD cards would your recommend? Are SanDisks or Lexars any good/compatable?

This may not be helpful, but I had a bit of trouble getting the cartridge seated properly. Have you double checked to make sure it's pushed ALL the way in? I had to use a bit of force the first couple of times.

I had a old scandisk that would not work with my supercard, but if you have 3 and all of them are not working you might want to send the supercard back. good luck
Supercard SD, Sandisk 2 GB, AData  256 MB
Supercard One - 512MB Transcend
Pink DSL with flashme v8a Org-FW  haven't checked

None of mine are of the SanDisk Brand. Mine are the "Impact" brand found at wal mart for $15 for a 128 meg card.

Ok...I went to my trusty Wally World tonight and bought a 256 SanDisk card and......

format SDcard to FAT

put Kernel v1.53 on card and insert into supercard and DS upgrade software
once this is done remove update from card and load rom onto it using the latest pathing software v2.433 .
if you do all this and still get black sreens then it could be your card or your
DS .i say DS because i have had one that did not work no matter what i did upgrade the software or Flashme ,but because i had just bought it i took it back and exchanged for a new one and all worked fine

Yes, everything's working fine now. I got to enjoy the night playing NES games, watching video clips, looking at pix, and testing out some GBA roms.
